JHF launches annual scholarship awards for Zion Hill pupils

We are pleased to announce the launch of the Jenny Harriott Annual Scholarship Awards, to encourage and reward academic achievement among final year pupils at Zion Hill Primary School in Manchester, Jamaica.

The awards will provide cash prizes each year to the three pupils with the highest scores in the amounts of J$45,000, J$30,000 and J$25,000. The first awards will be made in July 2025 when students graduate, and on an annual basis thereafter.

Founder Dr Gabriel said: “The Jenny Harriott Annual Scholarship Awards was developed in consultation with School Principal Simone Greene-Johnson, who agreed it would be a great way of motivating pupils and rewarding their hard work and achievements.”

Mariann Harriott, three times great granddaughter of Jenny Harriott said: “Along with my brothers and sisters, growing up in Jamaica I attended Zion Hill Primary School and received a great education from dedicated teachers and staff, who inspired us to reach our full potential. I am delighted that we can give back to the school through the Scholarship Awards.”
